Upcoming workshops: Let’s talk about your future

On Behalf of | Sep 8, 2017 | Blog

The problem with planning for the future is that we tend to do it in our heads, instead of getting it down on paper.

For this reason, The Soto Law Group schedules frequent get-togethers where our lawyers and others lay out the basics about different estate planning issues, and invite your questions and feedback.

The idea is to get you thinking more proactively about topics that will make a difference in your life and in the lives of those you care about.

Over the next month, we are holding three of these free events:

Estate Planning and Reverse Mortgages

Wednesday, September 20th at 6:00 p.m., to be held at the at offices of Essex Mortgage (2200 W Orangewood Ave, Suite 150, Orange)

Many people only understand reverse mortgages because of what they have heard on TV commercials. We will talk about how reverse mortgages impact your estate planning, and how to avoid leaving your family in debt.

Speakers at this event include attorney R. DeDe Soto and Julie Coangelo from Essex Mortgage.

Estate Planning and Retirement Planning

Thursday, September 21st at 5:30 p.m., to be held at the Center Club of Orange County (650 Town Center Drive, Garden Level, Costa Mesa)

People who don’t know better can make serious mistakes with their life and retirement assets. This discussion focuses on protecting your savings through revocable trusts, and how to avoid the most common mistakes.

Speakers include R. DeDe Soto from our firm and Richard Underwood from Signature Resources Capital Advisors.

Estate Planning and Asset Protection

Monday, October 9th at 6:00 p.m., to be held at Sea Legs Wine Bar (21022 Beach Blvd #105, Huntington Beach)

Everyone worries that their life’s assets will be whittled away in probate. This discussion focuses avoiding common mistakes in planning. You will learn about the power of a living trust, and how new laws will affect your estate. We can show you how to avoid probate altogether.

Speakers will include R. DeDe Soto of The Soto Law Group and Diana Pernaand Christen King from PK Real Estate.

Note: The workshop on asset protection is free but we ask that you register in advance, as space is limited. Call 888-735-7686 to ensure a place for you!
